You can also visit the Garden Route Game Lodge located only 6 km away where they offer a ‘Bird Watching’ bird walk daily, either on your own or accompanied by a guide. In addition the Lodge offers a Cheetah Walk where you can observe and walk with this endangered species, as well as reptile encounters where you can learn more about these mysterious creatures.

o the west of Albertinia you will find the wine capital of South Africa. You can spend afternoons on your stoep at Aloe Park sipping a selection of wines obtained close by in Herbertsdale Jakkalsvlei Private Cellar or experiment with a locally produced taste from Edenberg Wines.

With easy access to the picturesque and world renowned Route 62 wine route your winters at Aloe Park could be warmed up with a nice red wine sourced from close by destinations such as Calitzdorp and Barrydale.

Located just around the corner in Industrial Road you will find the House of Aloe where you can learn more and buy aloes and aloe products.  You can pamper yourself with a cosmetic treatment at the salon and watch a traditional healing demonstration, or buy seedling plants to nurture in your own back garden in Aloe Park.
